Apple Skins on or Apple Skins off?
When it comes to this dish, the apple skins may be left on or the apple skins can be removed off. This is more of a preference issue.
Use an apple corer and slicer for even apple slices and then if selected, a paring knife to gently remove skins leaving as much of the apple meat as possible. If you do not have an apple corer, they are a terrific kitchen device that makes apple recipes or just eating apples a lot simpler. Smooth even slices every time! Apple corers may be obtained at Walmart, target, or amazon.
Baked Apples in Air Fryer
Place clean, sliced (and if you are peeling off the skins, do that) apples in a shallow dish.
Add roughly 1/2″ of water and microwave for 2 minutes.
Set apples aside to cool.
Mix together cinnamon and white sugar.
Coat apples with cinnamon and sugar and put apples into the black interior Air Crisp Ninja Foodi air frying basket.
Keep apples in a single layer and make sure they do not touch.
Spray apples with nonstick cooking spray.
Set Foodi to air crisp at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remember that you can raise the air crisp lid easily to check on apple slices.
When cooking is complete, remove hot apples and serve with vanilla ice cream if preferred.
