Ingredients for Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
- Brussels sprouts – When choosing your Brussels Sprouts, select ones of similar size if you’re able. They’ll cook more evenly this way. Use fresh brussels sprouts over frozen if you’re able.
- Olive oil – Oil in the air fryer? Yepp, just a little goes a long way in helping these brussels sprouts crisp up. I use a little bit of oil on all of my air-fried vegetables to give them that nice crisp. I’ve got this info and more in my 10 Air Fryer tips every owner should know post.
- Spices – Salt, ground black pepper, and tasty garlic powder will elevate the flavor of the sprouts.
- Parmesan cheese – Use any grated, shredded, or sliced parmesan cheese you love.
Tools you’ll need
- Air Fryer
- Mixing bowls and measuring spoons
- Fork, to check for tenderness
How to make Crispy Air Fryer Brussels sprouts
Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, combine brussels sprouts, olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until all the brussels sprouts are covered in the oil and seasoning.
Place the brussels sprouts in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 380
degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes until roasted, shaking halfway through.
Remove brussels sprouts from the air fryer and sprinkle them with parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
How to store leftover brussels sprouts
Store leftover brussels sprouts in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Air-fried brussels sprouts are best if eaten right away, they will likely lose some of the crispness if eaten the next day.
Do I have to soak my brussels sprouts?
Soaking brussels sprouts before air frying is not necessary, but it can be helpful to make larger sprouts tender without burning the outer leaves.
To soak your brussels sprouts: Cut them in half or quarters and soak them in a bowl full of cold, lightly salted water for 10-20 minutes. Drain them thoroughly and pat dry then continue to season and air fry as directed.

Notes
- The size of your brussels sprouts may vary your cook time. Check on your brussels sprouts at the halfway mark.
- While checking halfway through, give them a shake so they’ll crisp evenly on all sides.
- Don’t overcrowd your air fryer. To achieve a crispy outside it’s important to maintain a single layer of brussels sprouts. Thankfully air fryers are quick, so you can make multiple batches in no time!
