Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray (olive oil or canola oil)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Place the flour in another shallow dish, and in a third dish, beat the eggs until well mixed.
  4. Tenderize the chicken breasts with a meat mallet to achieve an even thickness.
  5. Coat each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs to the chicken.
  6. Place the crumbed chicken schnitzels in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd them.
  7. Lightly spray the chicken schnitzels with cooking spray to help them achieve a golden-brown and crispy texture.
  8. Cook the chicken schnitzels in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking process. The chicken should be golden brown and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Once cooked, remove the chicken schnitzels from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Serve your delicious air fryer crumbed chicken schnitzels with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and your favorite side dishes.
