The wrong turn drops the driver into a ditch near the cranberry swamp. Don’t worry, the van didn’t break.
An Amazon driver got a little stuck in Duxbury on Sunday, according to police.
The driver got lost and drove into the ditch, according to Michael Carbone, the deputy manager of the cranberry bog.
The driver went to pick up a friend and a tow truck, but the police arrived first and got the van out of the ditch.
“Believe it or not, the van was not damaged and the driver drove the van away,” Carbone said in an email, noting that no property damage or charges occurred.
According to Carbone, it is known that Google Maps can mislead drivers near the swamp.
However, this was not the case.
“I don’t think that was the case,” he said.
People on social media appreciated the scene, and one person tweeted that the driver was almost “berryed” at work.
