Is Air Frying Chicken Better Than Baking Chicken?

Given that the seasoning is called shake and bake, you might be wondering why I went with the air fryer method instead of baking in a conventional oven.

Personally, I love making shake and bake chicken in the air fryer because of how quickly the air fryer preheats, as well as how perfectly it crisps up the coating on the chicken.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F. Place the chicken breasts on a plate and brush them with olive oil.
  2. Add the Shake N Bake packet to the plastic bag that comes in the box and shake the chicken breasts, one at a time, to coat; discard any remaining coating.
  3. Place the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Spray the tops of the chicken with cooking oil spray, then air fry at 380 degrees F for 14-18 minutes, flipping once halfway through until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  5. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving as desired.
