How to cut cauliflower into florets
To cut the cauliflower into florets you will want to use a sharp kitchen knife and a cutting board.
- First, you need to remove the green leaves from the cauliflower by tearing them off or you can use kitchen shears to cut them off, then save or discard them.
- Then flip the cauliflower over and cut around the core in the center of the head of the cauliflower to remove it.
- At this point, the florets should mostly fall off but you may need to cut some of them off and chop them if they are too large. You want them to be about 1 inch in size each, for even cooking.
