Which pot pie should you use?
Any frozen pot pie will work that is the individual size for this recipe.
We almost always use Marie Callender’s, but it’s completely up to you.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Frozen Pot Pie?
Using foil around the edges of the pie will help it avoid overcooking. The edges tend to cook first and the fastest when making these, so the foil helps slow that a bit.
This one in this picture, I did not use foil to cover the edges. It is still edible and delicious, but it’s much more brown than you’d probably prefer.
In this one in the picture, I did use foil around the edges and you can tell that the edges match the rest of the pie in color.
To do this, simply trip a piece of foil to fit just around the edges of the pie and lightly cover the edges.
If you are using a Ninja Foodi, you can use the wire trivet that comes with the Foodi and place it in the lowest position to make the pie. This makes it easier to remove.
If you are using a traditional air fryer, carefully remove it with a spatula.
How long do you cook a frozen pot pie in the air fryer or Ninja Foodi?
These can be cooked for 35-40 minutes at 375*F.
It’s important to note that ALL machines heat differently. I tested these at many different times and temperatures, these worked the best for our Ninja Air Fryer.
The internal temperature needs to be at least 165*F to be considered done. If needed adjust the timing accordingly. I would check on it for around 35 minutes, then add additional time if needed.
The top should be lightly browned.
